We are nationally published luxury wedding photographers who absolutely love what we do and our amazing Cooney Couples. From Cooney Couple Date Nights to in home Preview Parties, our couples and their marriages mean absolutely everything to us. Because though we may be photographers, we do so much more than that. Through the experience that we provide our couples, we create images that impact marriages.

Hi there friend! I'm Marina! I am a lover of the arts and an absolute coffee enthusiast (you can ask the Starbucks baristas, they probably know my order by heart).
I grew up dancing for 17+ years, so posing is second nature for me. When working with couples, I am a firm believer that having fun is the most effective way to get through the “awkwardness” (because let’s be real, being in front of the camera just isn't natural awkward!)
But the best part? It is that even though it feels awkward, it looks so natural, and my clients know that when I guide them through posing, even though it may feel awkward, it’ll always look great.

1. Make it Official
The best part about working with Marina is that you still get the full Cooney Couple experience, and at a slightly lower price point. Our goal is to always love and serve our couples, and for us, that means giving them a one of a kind experience unlike any other. An experience that fosters a fun loving marriage that is destined for greatness. Because our couples really are unlike anything else. They stand above the status quo. They want great marriages, not just good ones.
So to start the Cooney Couple process, just let us know which package of Marina's you would like to book with us, and we will begin reserving your date for you two so that you can be officially official.
2. Wedding Advice
Loving and serving our couples means absolutely everything to us, and even though Marina is the one photographing your day, you still have full access to us! We are here as a resource far beyond photography— whether you're looking for engagement session outfit recommendations, timeline advice, or vendor referrals. We always have your back.
From our Engagement Experience Magazine to our Wedding Experience Magazine, our mission is always to be a resource for our couples from beginning to end through their wedding day.
And the best part? When our couples book with us, we send our custom designed magazines to every one of them.
3. Engagement Session
We cannot even begin to explain how important we think engagement sessions are. Not only do they allow for you to get comfortable in front of the camera, but they also help our couples learn our posing and language so that when your wedding day comes, we can rock through poses even faster to get you two even more photos in your wedding album. (Talk about a win-win).
Since Marina will be photographing your wedding, you will have the chance to get to know one another even better through your engagement session! Engagement sessions can take place anywhere from immediately after booking to just a few days before the wedding. But don't worry a thing about all those details just yet, because your Engagement Experience Magazine will walk you through the whole process of finding a date and location!
4. Wedding Timeline
Upon booking, we personally create a custom wedding day timeline for every one of our couples. Because being super Type A people ourselves, we know that everything runs best with a timeline in hand.
Already have a set ceremony time? No problem! We will build off of your ceremony time to create the best timeline for you two to maximize your wedding experience.
Don't have a set ceremony time? Even better. We love being able to help our couples set their ceremony time so that their timeline can be built around the sunset for beautiful sunset portraits.
5. Wedding Day Prep
Loving and serving our couples is always the number one priority for us, so all throughout your wedding experience with us, we will check-in with you two.
About two months before the wedding, we will begin to start chatting more about your wedding day specifics, special details, your family formal shot list (which we create for our couples so that we can take one more "to-do" off of their list), special traditions and anything else we should know about your big day. The week before your wedding, we will hop on a FaceTime call, talk through all the details, and make sure everything is set and ready to go for your big day!
While we normally don't send this questionnaire until closer to the wedding, please don't hesitate to let us know if you have questions during the planning process!
6. The Big Day
The day that you marry your best friend. The day that you two begin your legacy of love. The day that the two of you say "I Do" and dance the night away surrounded by your closest family and friends.
To us, every little moment from your wedding day is what it is all about. The moment your mom buttons your dress. The first time the two of you see each other. The tears as you read your vows to one another. Every last moment means the world to us, and we cannot wait to celebrate every giggle and to cry with you as you two celebrate the love and friendship that you share, and Marina will be there, by your side, capturing your legacy of love.
7. The Editing
After the champagne has been sipped and the memories have been made, we will begin working on your wedding gallery. Because we are able to offer Marina as an associate shooter, we are able to provide the same luxury experience to couples, while being able to meet them at a lower price point.
And our favorite part? After Marina has photographed your wedding day, all of our Cooney Couples's galleries are edited by us with our signature style.
It's our way of being able to impact even more marriages by providing an incredible experience and stunning photos.
8. Image delivery
We promise all of our galleries to be delivered via an online, Pinterest styled, gallery within about four weeks of your wedding. (Though admittedly, we are much faster than that). At that time, we'll also send over details about preserving your images through prints and albums.
But for our Cooney Couples, this isn't where it ends for us. From date nights throughout the year to social media, we want to hear about the adventures of married life. We want to celebrate your big wins and help you though tough losses. Because for us? This is a family. So from date nights to anniversary sessions to family portraits, we cannot wait to cheer you on and watch your love grow.

We love your work and we’re ready to book! What’s the next step?
Eek! We are so excited to call you two a Cooney Couple. To reserve your wedding date, we’ll need a completed contract and a 50% non-refundable deposit. To receive your contract and retainer, just let us know which package you'd like to book, and we’ll send one over! The remaining balance will be due 60 days before the wedding.
How many photos are typically included and can we print the photos ourselves?
Absolutely! Galleries typically include anywhere between 50 and 75 photos per hour, though the exact amount varies from wedding to wedding. Your online gallery will come loaded with fully edited, high resolution images you can share on social media, print anywhere, or you also can print online through your gallery via our professional printers.
Do you offer albums for your couples?
Absolutely! And in fact, most of our tend to purchase an album to serve as their family heirloom for decades to come. However, we know how difficult it can be to decide on sizing, pages, and album covers when you haven't even gotten married yet. So, we aim to simplify that process for our couples.
After their wedding day, we can discuss album at your Sneaks and Charcuterie party. So that once you've actually seen the photos from your beautiful wedding day, you can then begin to decide on how to design that heirloom.
Do You Travel for engagement sessions or destination weddings?
Yes! Traveling is a huge part of our couples' lives, and we absolutely adore traveling all over the world with them for their sessions and weddings! Sometimes we are already in a location they want their session (which is free of travel fees), and sometimes, our couples will invest in having us travel to a special location just for them! Feel free to reach out to Shauna if this is something that you're interested in.
When do you charge travel fees?
We typically add travel fees on to any wedding outside of 60 miles from our
home in Sarasota, Florida.
Fees vary depending on location, but we absolutely love to travel for our couples, so please feel free to ask us for more
details.

Additionally, we actually have a special YouTube channel where we share tips for brides and videos as well. It's a great place to get to know us!
Engagement Sessions
It takes time for most couples to warm up to being
photographed and understand how we pose. Timelines can be
pretty tight on weddings days and sometimes, 30 minutes could be all that we
have for couples portraits - which is why we’ve found that wedding day
portraits turn out so much better when couples do engagement
sessions ahead of time.
Sessions also allow you to showcase your personalities in a setting that is significant to the two of you. While they’re great for save-the-dates, we’ve taken
engagement photos anywhere from 18 months in advance to a
few days before the wedding. Both international and nation wide destination engagement sessions are a favorite of our couples. If you have a place in mind, feel free to reach out for a custom quote. Or, if you see that we are traveling to a destination you'd like to be photographed in, we can always see if we can just add you to our calendar- free of charge- since we will already be in that location.
ALBUMS
We truly believe there is so much importance in having an heirloom wedding album. Because the truth is, our images can only impact marriages if they are visible and viewed. So on our couples' anniversaries, they sit down together, look through their wedding album, and talk about their marriage. The good, the bad, and where they want it to go in the future.
These high quality professionally designed albums come in a
variety of linen & leather colors.
These aren’t the same albums your parents wedding photos came in.
They’re modern, lay perfectly flat and look incredible on coffee tables.
All albums are prepaid with a down payment before design begins. Albums typically take
between 4 to 6 weeks to complete and include three rounds of revision. Albums may be ordered anytime before or after the wedding day.
